Hokies vs Hoos: Special Olympics Challenge

When Hokies and Hoos compete to increase community awareness and volunteerism, everyone wins! From April 15 through June 10, your online donations will help change minds and vocabularies by discouraging misuse of the “R" word retard. Hokies and Hoos alumni, friends and fans are invited to visit the links below and donate to Special Olympics Virginia’s “R" Word Challenge. For every $1,000 each alumni club raises, they’ll earn one letter toward building the “R" word RIVAL and along the way, help Special Olympics Virginia eliminate the other hurtful “R" word.

Who will earn all the letters to spell “RIVAL” first? That’s up to you! Alumni, fans and friends -- show your support today and feel free to pass this message on to other Hokies and Hoos fans, too! Short on cash? Sign up as a Summer Games volunteer to be a fan on June 6 or 7 and we'll add $20 “virtual dollars” to your off-line team contribution total.
